Ogre Paladin Unlock Guide
Also works for Bard, Druid, Ranger & Rogue — any Primary Class Ogre can't natively select
Last Updated: July 21, 2026
| Class | Available Via |
|---|---|
| Paladin | Wood Elf or Half-Elf |
| Bard | Wood Elf or Half-Elf |
| Druid | Wood Elf or Half-Elf |
| Ranger | Wood Elf or Half-Elf |
| Rogue | Wood Elf or Half-Elf |
This guide walks through the process using Paladin as the example — swap in whichever of the above you're after at Phase 7.
Or, Just Buy It?
Of course, you could also just skip this entire guide and buy your way there with Unlock Tokens from the in-game shop. Personally, we think that Iridium is better spent on bags, AA potions, or some sweet cosmetics instead — but hey, it's your money, do what you want!

Character Setup
| Step | Detail |
|---|---|
| Race | Ogre |
| Starting Class | Beastlord (warder pet makes the 1–10 grind noticeably faster/safer) |
| Secondary Class (optional) | Shaman or Magician — pick Magician if you'd rather lean on its pet instead of the Beastlord's warder |
| Deity | Rallos Zek |
| Goal | Level to 10 as fast as possible, pathing toward Nektulos Forest |
Travel & Prep
Travel Notes
- Route: Oggok → The Feerott → Innothule Swamp → South Ro → Oasis of Marr → North Ro → East Commonlands → Nektulos Forest.
- Bind at New Sebilis (North Ro coast, by the fishing camp) on your way through — after the Phase 3 guard grind, Gate straight back here instead of running, which also sets you up for Phase 4.
- /pick to skip walking (credit: Notaro, BrutallStatic's Discord) — works on every zone from your starting town to Befallen except Feerott, Innothule Swamp, and West Commonlands (those either drop you backwards or don't save any distance). Everywhere else, it drops you at the zone's safe spot, often much closer to your next border — e.g. Oasis → North Ro zone line, or North Ro → East Commonlands tunnel entrance.
Malachite (for the Magician's pet)
| Vendor | Location | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Rezslog (Jewelcrafting Supplies) | Grobb — SE border of Innothule Swamp | 6s2c (0.062p) each |
| Klok Koglin (Adventuring Supplies & Parcels) | New Sebilis, North Ro | 0.066p each |
Either works. Klok Koglin may be the more convenient pickup since you're already stopping at New Sebilis to bind, right before the Phase 3 grind. Either way, a stack of 20 only runs ~1.2–1.3 plat — no dedicated farming needed.

Loadout
At level 10, swap loadout to Shaman / Cleric / Magician:
- Shaman — Slow, Root
- Cleric — Lull/Pacify, big heals
- Magician — Water pet, backstab-style damage (requires Malachite — see Phase 2)
Location: the bridge just past the East Commonlands → Nektulos Forest zone line.
The Loop
- Lull 2 of the 4 bridge guards.
- Go invisible, walk onto the bridge.
- Lull a 3rd guard.
- Fight and kill the 4th.
- Repeat until all 4 are down, then reset (zone/instance) and repeat.
Before Selling
Swap loadout to Shaman / Bard / Enchanter:
- Shaman provides a Charisma buff
- Bard and Enchanter both carry innate Charisma bonuses
- With these buffs active, each sword sells for 2.9 plat directly to the vendor
Drop / Sell
- Each guard has a 100% drop rate on a Bronze Sword.
- Collect 12 swords — at 2.9 plat each, that's roughly ~35 plat (12 × 2.9 = 34.8), a safe buffer for the shopping phase.
- Sell to the Ogre vendor stationed near the bridge — manually, one at a time, directly through the vendor sell window.
Illusion Prep for Freeport
- Travel to North Ro — the entrance to New Sebilis (the Iksar starting zone) is beside the fishing camp on the east side. If you bound there during your Phase 2 run (see route tip above), Gate here instead of running.
- Swap to Rogue, build up Sneak. Iksar NPCs won't sell to an Ogre, so you need to Sneak up behind the spell merchant to buy the Human Illusion spell.
- Swap your primary loadout class to Enchanter and cast Human Illusion on yourself. This lets you safely run the reputation turn-ins in Freeport without guard aggro.
The Shopping Loop — West Freeport
| Buy | Quantity | NPC | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Muffins | 400 | Pincia Brownloe | The Brownloe Bakery |
| White Wine | 400 | Drona Whystlethin | Hogcaller's Inn |
The Hand-In
- Go upstairs in Hogcaller's Inn to Pandos Flintside (dwarf) and Lady Shae (high elf).
- As long as Human Illusion is active, no Sneak is needed for this part.
- Turn in 400 Muffins, 100 at a time, to Pandos Flintside.
- Turn in 400 White Wine, 100 at a time, to Lady Shae.
- Completing both turn-ins permanently unlocks both the Wood Elf and Half-Elf races for your account's loadouts.
Loadout Swap and Lock In Your Primary Class
- Swap your loadout to Wood Elf or Half-Elf, and select Paladin (or Bard, Druid, Ranger, or Rogue, if that's your target) as Primary Class.
- Travel to Befallen (south border of West Commonlands) and grind to level 11.
- At level 11, the game prompts you to lock in Primary Class + Deity — confirm your chosen class is selected, then confirm.
Loadout Swap Back to Ogre
- Before leaving Befallen, bind at the entrance (makes it easy to Gate back for future grinding).
- Use Origin to return to the elf starting zone.
- Run to a zone border with no guards present.
- Swap your loadout: race → Ogre, class → your newly locked-in Primary (now unlocked regardless of Ogre's native matrix, since it's already locked in).
- Gate back to Befallen to resume grinding.
TheBigPeezy's Preferred Leveling Method
| Stage | Trio | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Pal / Shm / Wiz | Level Wizard to 23 to unlock all of its Gate spells — these unlock permanently once obtained, regardless of whether Wizard stays active in your loadout |
| 2 | Pal / Dru / Wiz | Swap Druid in for Shaman, then level to 25 to unlock all of its Ring spells — same deal, permanent once obtained |
| Final | Pal / preferred secondary and tertiary | Swap in whatever secondary/tertiary combo you want long-term, and level the rest of the way to 50 |
July 21, 2026
- Upgraded chazinomaha's platinum grinding video mention in Phase 2 to a highlighted callout ("Want more money-making options?"), and linked his original Ogre Paladin unlock video in the Shoutout section.
- Added note to Phase 6 that Wood Elf/Paladin locks your Deity to Erollisi Marr.
- Organizational pass: split "Character Setup" into its own phase and a new "Travel & Prep" phase (renumbering all phases 2–8 up to 3–9), added "Back to top" links to every phase, gave the Shoutout section a header tag for consistency, split the "Why Bother?" cash-shop note under its own sub-header, and swapped the Deity callout's icon to something more neutral.
July 20, 2026
- Added a "Why Bother?" section addressing why locking in via Primary beats slotting the target class as Secondary/Tertiary — it frees up both free-pick slots for otherwise-impossible trios instead of burning one on the race-locked class.
- Added faction hit warning for the bridge guard grind (Dreadguard Outer/Inner, Dark Bargainers, Indigo Brotherhood, Emerald Warriors) — credit Notaro.
- Updated "Why Bother?" cash-shop note to mention bags/AA potions/cosmetics as better IR spends.
July 19, 2026
- Added route tip for binding at New Sebilis during the initial Oggok-to-Nektulos run.
- Added community-sourced alternative for building Sneak while traveling to New Sebilis in Phase 3.
- Reordered Phase 2 class list to match Shaman/Cleric/Magician.
- Added Last Updated line and this changelog.
- Added tip on using /pick to swap zone instances and skip walking on the Oasis/North Ro/East Commonlands route.
- Widened guide scope: this process also unlocks Bard, Druid, Ranger, and Rogue as Primary Class options via Wood Elf/Half-Elf, not just Paladin. Added a table of newly available classes and updated Phase 6/7 language accordingly.
- Corrected Malachite vendor from Oggok to Grobb (Rezslog, Jewelcrafting Supplies), added exact price (6s2c / 0.062p each, confirmed via in-game purchase log) and folded it into the Feerott/Innothule leveling route.
- Updated /pick tip with exceptions: doesn't help in Feerott, Innothule Swamp, or West Commonlands (per Notaro).
- Added clickable Contents index at the top linking to every section.
- Restructured the route, Malachite, and /pick callouts in Phase 1 into a scannable Travel Notes list and a vendor comparison table.
- Added second Malachite vendor option: Klok Koglin (Adventuring Supplies & Parcels) in New Sebilis, 0.066p each.
- Corrected Phase 8 leveling details: Wizard only needs to reach level 23 for all Gate spells (not 25); Druid swaps in for Shaman and levels to 25 for all Ring spells.
Earlier revisions
- Corrected item name to Bronze Sword, adjusted plat farm target to 12 swords (~35 plat), added Beastlord as starting class, clarified turn-in NPCs and race unlocks, added critical level-11 lock-in warning, added Shoutout section, restyled guide layout.
